The 2022 Nissan Pathfinder is ready to roll into dealerships this summer. The three-row family vehicle took a break for the 2021 model year and gets the refresh for 2022. The Pathfinder is a great choice for buyers looking to go on family adventures, viewed as the multi-tool on wheels due to its versatility. The long wait is finally over for anticipating buyers looking to own one of these elegant SUVs. The 2022 Nissan Pathfinder comes in at a starting MSRP of $34,560 (Plus destination fee), and rides on the same wheelbase as its predecessor, although it’s now longer, wider, and taller. Nissan did an amazing job creating the perfect mix for a modern SUV with the latest technology and safety features.
The all-new 2022 Nissan Pathfinder is a little more than the average SUV, capable of taking many different types of terrain like snow, rain, and gravel. The intelligent 4×4 comes with seven different modes at the push of a button for the driver to adjust to any type of condition. Nissan Safety Shield 360 comes standard on all 2022 Pathfinder trims helping drivers feel safe while on the road. Nissan Safety Shield 360 offers Automatic Emergency Braking with Pedestrian Detection, High Beam Assist, Lane Departure Warning, Blind Spot Warning, Rear Cross-Traffic Alert, and Rear Automatic Braking. The vehicle uses cameras, radar technology, and sonar to work together building a safety shield 360 comprehensive system that looks in front, behind, and beside the vehicle while operating. Nissan also offers the available ProPilot Assist for potential buyers looking for more safety features.
The 2022 Nissan Pathfinder will retain the same engine as the previous generation. The 3.5-liter Direct Injection V6 engine under the hood of the 2022 Pathfinder is capable of producing 284 horsepower and 259 lb-ft of torque. Front-wheel drive will be standard on all trims but all trims can be equipped with all-wheel-drive. The engine is paired with an all-new 9-speed automatic transmission that has a 55 percent broader gear ratio spread than the former Xtronic CVT. Front-wheel drive was able to push the 2022 Pathfinder from 0-60 in 6.7 seconds, making it quicker than most of the competing SUVs. Awarded Best-in-Class Towing due to its powerful ability to tow up to 6,000 pounds, while most of the competition tops out at 5,600 pounds.
