The All-New NISSAN ENERGY Charge Network Makes Charging Easy

The NISSAN ENERGY Charge Network will make owning and charging a Nissan EV easier and more smooth. With the help of the new network, owners of Nissan EVs, including the Ariya, will be able to locate charging stations, view the availability of chargers in real time, and pay for charging using the MyNISSAN app in a single, simplified process.
This MyNISSAN app update makes owning an EV easier by combining car management and public charging into a single app. When at a charging station that is compatible, users can initiate a charging session within the NISSAN ENERGY Charge Network by simply tapping an on-screen button, having previously stored their default payment method in the MyNISSAN app. By November 2024, users of the MyNISSAN app will have access to this additional feature.
Over 90,000 Fast Chargers are part of the NISSAN ENERGY Charge Network in the United States. One of the charging partners is Electrify America, a pioneer in EV charging with the greatest number of fast charging public outlets in the United States. There are plans to add more networks in the future. Other networks that are already involved are the ChargePoint, EVgo, and Shell Recharge networks.
Owners of Nissan LEAFs can currently search for charging places using the NissanConnect EV and Services app, but this functionality is not yet available to them. Nissan has taken another step to enhance customer satisfaction and simplify and expedite the ownership of electric vehicles with the launch of the NISSAN ENERGY Charge Network. Additionally included by the EV Carefree+ customer care program are Nissan’s LEAF and Ariya.
Furthermore, Nissan will start offering a North American Charging Standard (NACS) adaptor to Ariya drivers later this year. With the help of this adapter, drivers in Ariya will be able to conveniently charge at Tesla Supercharger stations, significantly expanding their network of public charging locations. Nissan plans to start selling EVs with NACS ports in the US and Canada in 2025. Nissan is putting a lot of effort into making sure that everyone has access to more environmentally friendly transportation in the future. According to The Arc mid-term business plan, 16 new electrified vehicles will be introduced worldwide by the end of the 2026 fiscal year.
An EPA-estimated driving range of up to 304 miles (Venture+ trim) and the option of e-4ORCE dual-motor all-wheel drive, the Ariya is Nissan’s most advanced electric vehicle. In order to appeal to a larger range of EV purchasers, the base price of the Ariya was raised to $39,590 (Plus Destination fee) for the 2024 model year. It was listed on “Wards 10 Best Engines & Propulsion Systems” list for 2023, and its e-4ORCE system was named to the Insurance Institute for Highway Safety’s (IIHS) 2024 TOP SAFETY PICK designation (vehicles with 63-kWh battery).
