J.D. Power 2024 U.S. Initial Quality Study Ranks Nissan Higher

In the J.D. Power 2024 U.S. Initial Quality StudySM (IQS), Nissan climbed an astounding seven ranking positions, demonstrating the company’s ongoing focus on quality and customer satisfaction. Nissan Motor Company rose from 13th to 6th place overall in the automobile sector for initial quality in this year’s evaluation. Furthermore, the Nissan Murano was once again recognized as the greatest midsize SUV for initial quality.
The J.D. Power Initial Quality Study gauges the quality of cars by using feedback from buyers and lessees after the first ninety-day period of ownership. About 227 possible issues with their car, spanning 10 categories, are questioned by drivers. These issues include infotainment, features, controls and displays, exterior, driving assistance, interior, powertrain, seats, driving experience, climate, and unspecified (unique to fix). This year, the research now includes data from franchised dealership repair visits for the first time.

For the fifth year in a row, the 2024 Nissan Murano won the title of finest midsize SUV in terms of initial quality. Furthermore, 2024 Frontier placed third in its particular group for initial quality, while 2024 Sentra and 2024 Altima were second overall.
