Nissan and Daniel Patrick Launches NISMO-Inspired Sleepwear

Nissan and Daniel Patrick, a high-end athletic streetwear designer have collaborated together creating a limited line of performance-oriented sleepwear. The Fast Asleep capsule collection is NISMO inspired, Nissan’s in-house performance and motorsports team. Daniel Patrick spent time driving the 2024 Nissan Z NISMO gaining inspiration from the track-ready coupe. The goal was to create a comfortable fit while using premium materials and give the NISMO fans something to love. The Fast Asleep collection can be purchased at Daniel-Patrick.con/Nisan, limited to 50 pieces each, the pajama set is $250 with the robe priced at $175, plus shipping and tax. 

“The Z NISMO is the purest expression of design and performance, and these characteristics are always found in my designs,” said Patrick. “I wanted to evoke a feeling of comfort and premium fit using signature materials that gave a wink to the classic NISMO features enthusiasts really love.”

The Fast Asleep capsule collection includes a NISMO-inspired color scheme, NISMO red accents and adornments nodding into the shape of the Z NISMO LED tail lights. A red waist drawstring inspired by the signature NISMO red stripe seen on the longer edge of the Z NISMO, strategically placed venting to support airflow management as any sports car needs, breathable materials for thermal regulation and embroidered NISMO logos. 

The project was also inspired by sleep expert Dr. Matthew Walker, his research highlights the importance of quality rest for the best driver performance. Walker also has a unique history of work within the highest level of motorsports competitions. By creating Better sleep patterns and quality of sleep, drivers can benefit from physical and cognitive improvements. Walker also recommended that the most important part of improving sleep quality is ensuring the right body temperature.

“The sleepwear collection design includes strategically placed venting, which may help release trapped heat,” said Walker. “When we vent trapped heat, our body temperature can start to decrease, and that is the invitation to better sleep.”  said Walker.
